A Mannsville man has pleaded guilty to growing marijuana in Taylor County and will pay a fine and serve a probation sentence for his crimes.
Ricky L. Rakes, 49, of 301 Christian Church Road, was cited on Tuesday, July 10, at 2:30 p.m.
According to Rakes' citation, Kentucky State Police troopers wrote that he allegedly had 15 pots containing marijuana in his back yard hidden between two dog houses.
Court records state that Rakes told troopers that the plants, which were found using a helicopter, belong to him.
