A Campbellsville man has been indicted on sex abuse charges in an indictment recently unsealed by a Taylor Circuit Court judge.

A grand jury may seal an indictment if there is a possibility that the accused will try to evade police.

Lary J. Taylor, 37, of 110 Camelback Drive was indicted on four counts of first-degree sex abuse.

According to the indictment, Taylor is accused of having sexual contact with a female who was younger than age 12 in 2002 and continuing through 2005 and with the same girl on three occasions between 2005 and 2008.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash and Taylor was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.

If convicted, Taylor could be sentenced to as much as 25 years in prison.

Campbellsville Police Detective Sgt. Patricia Thompson investigated.

u An indictment is a legal accusation only. It does not establish guilt.
