Man charged with raping teenage girl

A Campbellsville man has pleaded not guilty to raping a teenage girl.

Douglas W. Bunch, 23, of 112 Ford St., was arrested Sunday, July 28, at 7:40 p.m.

According to Bunch's arrest citation, he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl at his Ford Street home on June 30.

Bunch was charged with third-degree rape, which is a Class D felony punishable by as much as five years in prison.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge in Taylor District Court last Monday.

Bunch was appointed a public defender and bond was set at 10 percent of $25,000. He was ordered to not have contact with his alleged victim and not violate any laws while released.

Bunch is scheduled to appear in court again Wednesday.

Campbellsville Police Officer Roy Rodgers investigated. At press time, he couldn't be reached to comment for this story.
