A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a collision.

Roger D. Dotson, 24, of 9489 Saloma Road was arrested at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22.

According to Dotson's arrest citation, the Taylor County Sheriff's Department received a call about a vehicle in the roadway on Feather Creek Road.

The citation states that when Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy Rodney Cox arrived, Dotson was sitting in the driver's seat and the car was stalled in the road.

Dotson smelled of alcohol, according to the citation, and would not get out of the vehicle. Dotson had wrecked his vehicle somewhere and fence wire from the collision was in the roadway.

Dotson was charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest.

The citation states that Dotson refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Dotson pleaded not guilty to the charges in Taylor District Court on Monday, Feb. 23. Dotson's DUI charge was amended to a second offense with aggravating circumstances.

Bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000 and he was ordered not to drive and appointed a public defender.

A pretrial hearing was set for April 6, with a jury trial on April 24.
