A Campbellsville man has been arrested and charged with burglary after he was found asleep in someone's home.

David D. Fisher, 34, of 70 Anna Court was arrested Thursday, Aug. 22 at 9:29 a.m.

According to Fisher's arrest citation, the owner of a home on West Walnut Street called police and reported that someone was inside his home asleep without permission.

Court records state that the homeowner told police that he did not rent his home or give Fisher permission to be in the home.

Fisher later told police that he needed a place to stay and got inside the home during the night. He said he was going to talk with the owner the next day about renting a room.

Fisher was charged with second-degree burglary. He pleaded not guilty to the charge Monday, Aug. 25 in Taylor District Court.

Bond was set at 10 percent of $15,000. He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Wednesday.
