Locals graduate from CU

More than 600 receive degrees in academic year.

Campbellsville University

United States Rep. Ed Whitfield, R-Ky., urged Campbellsville University undergraduates to "work well and faithfully" as he spoke to CU graduates on May 3.

CU graduated 152 master's students May 2 and 264 graduates May 3, for a total of 416 students receiving their diplomas upon completion of all academic requirements.

During CU's commencement in December, 196 students received diplomas, for a total of 612 students in this year's graduating class of 2013-2014.

Graduates from Campbellsville include:

• Raleigh Edward Abbott received a bachelor of science in English area.

• Jurgita Andrikyte received a master of arts in teaching English to speakers in other languages.

• Jordan Guy Antle received a bachelor of science in mass communications area. Antle is a graduate of Taylor County High School and is the son of James and Denise Antle of Campbellsville.

• Ryan Kevin Bailey received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Bailey is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Jack and Rebecca Bailey.

• Leticia Kathryn Bailey received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in management. Bailey is a graduate of Campbellsville High School and is the daughter of David Cassady of Horse Cave and Hope Beams of Campbellsville. She has three children, Mollie, Kiera and Ethan Bailey.

• Chasity Catherine Ballard received a bachelor of science in elementary education, primary through fifth grade.

• Christina Michelle Bishop received a master of music in performance. She is married to Stephen and they have three children, Madison, Noah and Logan.

• Karen Lynn Pepper Bland received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in administration technology. Bland graduated as co-valedictorian and summa cum laude.

• Justin A. Browder received a bachelor of science in political science.

• Kortni Lynn Burgess received an associate of science in business administration. She is the daughter of Betty Burgess of Campbellsville.

• Ana Augusta Cardoso Da Silva Almeida received a master of arts in teaching English to speakers in other languages. She is married to Denis Santo and they have one child, Sophia Santos.

• Karrie Jestic Cave received a bachelor of science in sports management. Cave is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Thomas and Evangela Cave of Campbellsville.

• Claudia Chanel Clarke of received an associate degree in nursing. Clarke is a TCHS graduate.

• Brandon Chase Collier received a bachelor of science in criminal justice administration.

• Worlson Corriolan received a bachelor of science in criminal justice administration area.

• Erica Dawn Cowan received a bachelor of social work. Cowan graduated magna cum laude. She is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Donnie and Phyllis Cowan of Campbellsville.

• Lauryn Ashton Cox received a teacher leader master of arts in education. Cox is a CHS graduate and is the daughter of Butch and Ann Cox of Campbellsville.

• Kayla Rashell Crabtree received an associate degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Raymond Crabtree of Richmond and Tonya Estepp of Campbellsville.

• Derek Steven Crabtree received an associate degree in nursing. He is the son of Raymond Crabtree of Richmond and Tonya Estepp of Campbellsville.

• Christine Moran Cundiff received a bachelor of social work. She is married to Tommy Cundiff and they have five children, Rachel, Courtney and Jordan Moran, and Alexis and Jacob Cundiff.

• Steven Earl Daniel Beams received a bachelor of music in music education with an instrumental emphasis. Beams is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Steve and Rhonda Beams of Campbellsville.

• Cody Joseph Drury received a bachelor of science in political science. Drury is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Kevin Drury of Campbellsville and Kim Smith of Hustonville.

• James William Edwards Jr. received a bachelor of science in organizational management area. Edwards is married to Ann. They have a son, Logan.

• Angela Robbin Fields received a associate degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Lloyd and Kim Bell of Campbellsville and is married to Joey Fields. They have a daughter, Olivia.

• Christian Hope Gilmore Malcomson received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in management.

• Sara Gilpin received a master of social work. Gilpin is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Herbie and Debbie Gilpin of Campbellsville.

• Melissa Fern Goble received a master of theology. She is the daughter of Ed and Mary Ann Goble of Campbellsville.

• Andrey Junca Goncalves received a master of music in performance.

• Jessie Rae Harden received a bachelor of arts in Spanish and a bachelor of science in sociology. Harden is the daughter of Ricky and Kathy Harden of Campbellsville.

• Blake Alan Herron received a bachelor of music in music education with an instrumental emphasis. Herron graduates cum laude. He is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Alan and Marsha Herron.

• Jessica Renee Hupp received a teacher leader master of arts in special education.

• Kelly Ann Lane received a bachelor of science in nursing and criminal justice administration. Lane is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Roger and Barbara Moore of Campbellsville. She is married to Eric and they have two children, Madison and Mason.

• Mary Beth Lobb received an associate degree in nursing.

• Rebecca David McCorvey received a bachelor of social work. She has two children, Lainey and Parker.

• Christen Michelle Montgomery received a master of arts in special education with an emphasis in learning behavior disorders.

• Rachel Julia Moran received a master of social work. Moran is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of James Moran and Christine Moran Cundiff of Campbellsville.

• Adam Kyle Murphy Nunley received a bachelor of science in Christian missions. Nunley graduates summa cum laude.

• Jacqueline Carlton Nelson received a bachelor of science in political science and history. Nelson graduates salutatorian and summa cum laude. She is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Leon and Debbie Nelson of Campbellsville.

• Sarah Beth Newton Hayes received a teacher leader master of arts in education. Hayes is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of David and Angie Newton of Campbellsville.

• Jared Tyler Nolan received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Nolan graduates magna cum laude.

• Anna Rebecca Oliver received a bachelor of music in music education with a vocal emphasis.

• Tracey Ann Osborn received an associate of science in early childhood education. Osborn is a CHS graduate.

• Jordan Carol Parrott Lobb received a bachelor of social work. Lobb is a CHS graduate and is the daughter of Gary Parrott and Lisa Humphress-Myers of Campbellsville.

• Dallas Matthew Payton received a master of arts in special education with an emphasis in learning behavior disorders. Payton is a CHS graduate and is the son of Dallas and Kathy Payton of Campbellsville and is married to Whitney.

• Chellsey Arielle Phillips received a master of social work.

• MeLeigha Carol Pollock received a bachelor of science in biology. Pollock is a TCHS graduate and is the daughter of Michael and Susan Pollock of Campbellsville.

• Adam Chase Powell received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Powell is a CHS graduate and is the son of John Powell of Campbellsville and Kim Jenkins of Lake Village, Ark.

• Keisha Starr Robertson received an associate degree in nursing. Robertson is the daughter of Ralph Huff of Campbellsville and Carolyn Huff of Greensburg and is married to Roger Robertson. They have two children, Caroline Makinze and Alexis Raegan.

• Bonnie Dial Russell of received an associate of science in business administration.

• Eric Stephen Scott received a bachelor of arts in music area. Scott is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Ricky and Carol Scott of Campbellsville.

• Christina Ann Smith received a bachelor of arts in Christian missions. Smith graduated cum laude.

• Joseph Drake Smith received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in administration technology. Smith graduated cum laude. He is a CHS graduate.

• Rebekah Anne Southwood received a bachelor of science in mass communications with an emphasis in public relations. Southwood graduated cum laude. She is the daughter of Dwayne and Lana Southwood of Campbellsville.

• Travis Aaron Van Hook received an associate degree in nursing.

• Matthew Cody VanMeter received a bachelor of science in political science. VanMeter is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Terry and Lisa VanMeter of Campbellsville.

• Amaris Michal Vest received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in administration technology and a bachelor of arts in Spanish. Vest graduated summa cum laude.

• Amelia Herrin Weber received a bachelor of music in vocal performance.

• Casey Douglas Young received a master of arts in social science with an emphasis in history and political science.

• Nathelie Katwian Zetrenne received a bachelor of science in English.

• Ping Zhou received a master of arts in music.

• John Albert Kilby received a bachelor of science in political science. Kilby is a TCHS graduate and is the son of Albert and Susan Kilby of Campbellsville.

• Kimberly Gayle Malone Clark received a bachelor of science in elementary education, primary through fifth grades. Clark is a TCHS graduate.

• Kelsie Reigh Peckham received a bachelor of social work. Peckham graduated magna cum laude.

• Heather SuAnn Sanders received a bachelor of science in early childhood education. Sanders is a CHS graduate and is the daughter of Ross Price of Elizabethtown and Karen Price of Campbellsville.

• Kayla Dawn Kincer received a bachelor of science in psychology. Kincer graduated cum laude.

• Mia Mercedes Moore received a bachelor of science in psychology. Moore is a CHS graduate and is the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Moore of Campbellsville.

• Bradley Ray Harris received a bachelor of science in middle grades education, fifth through ninth. Harris is a CHS graduate and is the son of David and Shanon Harris of Campbellsville.

• Donnie Ray Foley Jr. of Bradfordsville received a bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in administration technology. Foley is a CHS graduate and is the son of Donnie and Debbie Foley of Campbellsville.

In addition to diplomas, Algernon Sydney Sullivan Awards were given to a community member and a student.

Paul Osborne of Campbellsville, a member of the Campbellsville University Board of Trustees and former mayor of the City of Campbellsville, received the community member award.

The student recipient was Jacqueline Carlton Nelson of Campbellsville, the class salutatorian with a 3.97 grade point average who has been accepted into the University of Kentucky College of Law.
