Locals attend Kentucky Nurse Day banquet

On May 13, in conjunction with National Nurse’s Week, the Kentucky Nurse Day Committee hosted the 30th annual Kentucky Nurse Day Recognition Banquet in Shepherdsville. The banquet is a statewide celebration for all Kentucky nurses.  
The Kentucky Nurse Day Committee consists of volunteer nurses from all areas of the state. The purpose is to host the Kentucky Nurse Recognition Banquet each year to award and recognize the dedication, commitment and hard work of all Kentucky nurses.
Locals Marissa Holmes, Teresa Turner and Lee Ann Muncie are on the state committee that plans the banquet each year. Locals recognized for nursing excellence were Brittany Mier, Jessica Browning, Megan Cox, JoMarie Adams, Tricia Ireland, Betty Bloyd, Lisa Aaron, Tara Sanders and Connie Burress.
