The 2011 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges" will include the names of 10 students - including a Campbellsville resident - from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.

James Bottoms, a 1998 graduate of Taylor County High School, was selected this year.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. They join an elite group of students from more than 1,400 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.

Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1966.

Bottoms will graduate from ECTC in May with an associate in applied science degree in mechanical drafting and plans to earn a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky or the University of Louisville.

Bottoms has also earned a journeyman's certificate in HVAC and helps teach children at Living Grace Church.
