Daley Sapp of Campbellsville has qualified to compete in the 2008 Coca-Cola Talent Classic semi-finals competition at the Kentucky State Fair.
Sapp will compete with a solo on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the south wing conference center.
The Coca-Cola Talent Classic is a competition for young performers ages 13-21. Preliminary competitions in nearly 40 counties decided who would compete at the semi-final competition.
The competition will include an array of talents, including singers, dancers, bands and instrumentalists. Competitors will vie for the winner's title, a $1,200 cash prize, a trophy and poster-size picture displayed on the Wall of Champions each year during the state fair.
The Coca-Cola talent contest has been a stepping-stone for many young performers.
Some finalists from past years include Nicole Scherzinger of the group The Pussycat Dolls, Miss Kentucky pageant winner Whitney Boyles and television, Broadway and movie star Maggie Lawson.
Sapp is the daughter of Mark and Jackie Sapp of Campbellsville and the granddaughter of Jerry and Laverne Sapp of Finley and Dale and Betty Sue Willis of Campbellsville.
