Jeff Watson wins first
of the season at Richmond Raceway
Jeff Watson picked up his first Super Late Model win of the 2013 season at Richmond Raceway and dedicate the victory to his late father and former racer, Finn Watson.
Watson’s winning visit came aboard the Shofner Enterprises/Pepperidge Farms/Brad Burton Dairy Farms/All Star Truck Repair/J&T Distributing/Watson Plumbing sponsored No. 11 MasterSbilt Race Car-powered by a Frank Ofria Race Engine.
Watson outdistanced another pair of second generation drivers to gain the victory by defeating Tyrel Todd and Jason Barrett.
Tungate and Despain take checkered flags at Lake Cumberland Speedway
Local racing drivers Tim Tungate and Elliott Despain were victorious in their respective divisions’ feature events at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside.
The win for Tungate was his second straight in Super Late Model action at Lake Cumberland Speedway and again came aboard the J&L Motorsports-owned Wilson Plumbing/Dale Petty Well Service/Murphy Oil and Well Service/Brown’s Blacktop Sealing and Striping/Brown’s Tire Service/Barnes Auto Sales/Sexton’s Logging and Trucking sponsored No. 18 C.J. Rayburn Race Car-powered by a Dale Meers race engine.
Tungate took the win over Aaron Hatton, David Webb, Campbellsville’s Johnny Wheeler and Clint Vaughn.
