Adoption fees waived at animal shelter

For the entire month of December, the Taylor County Animal Shelter waived all adoption fees for those who wanted to adopt stray animals.

As a result, 85 animals were adopted, according to Taylor County Animal Shelter Director John Harris.

Because waiving the fees was so successful, Harris said, he asked Taylor County Judge/Executive Eddie Rogers if the shelter could also waive the fees for the month of January. Harris said Rogers agreed.
