Campbellsville’s 10-year-old All Stars wrapped up pool play with an unbeaten 3-0 mark at the Little League State Tournament in Prestonsburg.
The local contingent started play on Saturday with a 12-1, four-inning victory over Knox County as Noah Hughes pitched the first three innings and Nicholas Knifley the fourth.
Hunter Maupin had two hits for Campbellsville while Dawson Cole doubled and John Orberson, Knifley, Blake Allen, Arren Hash and Jackson Herron singled.
Paintsville was the 8-6 game-two victim on Sunday as Knifley went the first 3 2/3 and Orberson recorded the last four outs.
Knifley led the arsenal with a single and two doubles while Allen and Herron had two singles apiece and Cole and Maupin doubled and Hughes singled.
Campbellsville needed only four innings to down Russell-Flatwoods 14-3 on Monday.
Cole hurled the first 2 1/3 with Orberson going the next 1 2/3.
Cole singled and doubled for the locals while Knifley tripled and Orberson, Wes Oliver, Allen and Hash collected singles.
Campbellsville plays North Oldham on Thursday night in the first semi-final game of the single-elimination tournament. The championship is set for Friday.
