Library to offer free community classes

Taylor County Public Library will offer several free community education classes in April.

Classes offered are:

♦ Thursday, April 5 - Beginning computer class from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn basic computer usage techniques, such as an introduction to the Internet and how to set up an email account.

♦ Thursday, April 12 - Digital downloads and using an e-reader class from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Participants will learn to access and use the library's Overdrive digital library, along with how to organize and manage an e-reader account.

♦ Thursday, April 19 - Intermediate computer class from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will practice using Microsoft Word and learn how to browse the Internet more efficiently.

♦ Monday, April 23, and Tuesday, April 24 - Basic Microsoft Word class from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn navigation and selection techniques, along with creating and working with tables, learning about page layout, proofing, printing and working with graphics and clip art.

♦ Thursday, April 26 - Mouse usage and typing practice from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will learn to navigate a mouse in a confident way and practice typing to gain improvement on accuracy and speed.

♦ Saturday, April 28 - Greater Campbellsville United African American Genealogy Workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
