The library is a step closer to leasing part of its new building to the city.
At Monday’s regular meeting, Library Board members gave their stamp of approval to a lease agreement with the city.
The Taylor County Public Library now owns the former Gabehart Lumber building, but allows the city to park some of its vehicles there in a warehouse.
Board Chair John Miller said he believes the library should have a written lease agreement with the city that spells out the agreement between the entities.
