Following a weeklong House/Senate conference, the General Assembly passed a $19 billion state budget Wednesday, which lawmakers say will suffice in times of belt-tightening.
"We went into this session with a lot of anxiety over declining revenue," Senator Dan Kelly, R-Springfield said. "It looks like we presented a budget that will keep things going for the next two years."
Though he wasn't pleased with the process, Rep. Russ Mobley, R-Campbellsville, said it did produce a decent spending plan.
