The Lady Tigers of Campbellsville University closed the first half on a 19-10 run to take control at the intermission 56-43 en route to a 107-78 home victory over Virginia-Wise on Saturday.
Courtney Clifton initiated the run with back-to-back threes and Campbellsville University scored the first six points of the second half to lead by 19 and pushed the lead to 90-66 with six minutes left in the game.
For the second straight game coach Ginger Colvin was able to use her entire bench. As a matter of fact, the Lady Tiger bench held a 43-9 margin in the scoring column.
Mackenzie Lee led five players in double figures with 22. Mary Jehlik had 15, Chelsea Craig and Katie Allen with 11 apiece and 10 points from Clifton.
CU won the rebound war 42-30 with Craig having seven and Daizah Kimberland six.
It was the final home game for CU’s lone senior, Megan Isaacs. Her teammates sent her off in style and the senior from Mundfordville pitched in five points and two steals. It was the 49th home win against six home losses while Isaacs has been on scholarship (107-23 overall) at CU. She has played in 119 of the 120 games.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Saturday (2:00) at St. Catharine.
