Lady Tigers use 13 treys to pound Pikeville 91-67

Melly Heaton sank five three-point baskets and fellow sophomore Wendi Messer had four treys in pacing the Campbellsville University Lady Tigers past Pikeville College 91-67 in the Powell Athletic Center on Thursday night.

Heaton led CU, who connected on 13 of 26 shots from behind the arc, with 21 points while Whitney Ballinger added 20, Courtney Danis 15 and Messer 12. Ballinger also had eight rebounds and five blocked shots while T.J. Thomas had six assists and three steals.

The Lady Tigers (23-3) play at Lindsey Wilson on Thursday (7:00) and will host St. Catharine on Saturday (2:00).
