Campbellsville University's Lady Tigers out-scored the University of the Cumberlands 15-6 in overtime to move into first place in the Mid-South Conference race with a 79-71 triumph in the Powell Athletic Center on Thursday night.
The Lady Tigers (19-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference race) led by three (64-61) before Madison Flowers was fouled and hit three charity tosses with 2.1 seconds left in regulation.
But Whitney Ballinger and Courtney Danis helped CU dominate the five-minute extra period to chalk up its eighth straight win.
Ballinger led the Lady Tigers with 26 points and 18 rebounds while Danis scored 19 and Kristi Ensminger 13.
Campbellsville played at St. Catharine over the weekend and will visit West Virginia Tech on Thursday.
