Lady Tigers, Georgetown men post easy conference victories

Campbellsville University and Georgetown College split a Mid-South Conference basketball doubleheader on Saturday in the Powell Athletic Center.

The Lady Tigers led by more than 20 points before posting a 77-67 triumph in the opener while the No. 3-rated Georgetown men rolled past CU 84-56. The Tiger men played the game without injured starters Kyle Martin and Aaron Wyatt.

Courtney Danis had 17 points and Whitney Ballinger had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Tigers while Zach Allender had 29 points and 10 rebounds and Shawn Savage 10 points for the men.

Campbellsville hosts Lindsey Wilson on Thursday in a women's/men's twinbill starting at 6 p.m.
