Adair County’s Lady Indians (16-4) scored the first nine points and 14 of the first 16 en route to an 80-59 victory over the home-standing Taylor County Lady Cardinals on Tuesday.
Taylor County (5-12) did get within seven twice in the first quarter on a pair of Hannah Howard three-pointers and a conventional three-point play by Rachel Riggs.
The two squads will square off for a third time this season in a 20th District Tournament first-round game next month as the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds.
