Campbellsville High’s Lady Eagles’ softball tallied two runs in the fourth inning, seven in the fifth and three more in the sixth to knock off John Hardin 12-8 in their season opener at home vs. John Hardin on Tuesday night.
Coach Weston Jones’ team trailed 3-0 early, but put together the rallies as Paige Dabney went the distance as the Campbellsville pitcher.
Cassie Squires (two singles) and Kailey Morris (single, double) led the Lady Eagle offensive attack with two hits apiece while Masi Wilson and Keena Angel doubled and Dabney singled.
