Lady Eagles take two of three in All 'A' Invitational

Campbellsville High School’s Lady Eagles were only a few seconds away from a perfect weekend, but Buckhorn hit a late three-pointer to edge coach Cameron Jackson’s club 43-42 on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles started their own All “A” Invitational with a 46-34 triumph over Whitefield Academy of Louisville on Friday night at Campbellsville Middle School.
Brittany Vaught and Tiffany slone scored 17 points apiece as CHS won the final three quarters 42-25.
The Lady Eagles crushed Cordia 62-22 as the tournament concluded on Saturday in Paul J. Coop Gymnasium.
Slone tossed in 13 points for Campbellsville while Erica Crider added 12 and Vaught and Keniyah Barnett had nine apiece.
The Lady Eagles led 42-40 before Buckhorn hit the game-winning three-pointer to claim the championship.
Slone and Vaught had 12 points apiece and Graison Biggs seven.

The Lady Eagles won their first game on Monday in their second annual Food Pantry Holiday Classic before falling to Pulaski County in the semifinals. CHS (3-8) played North Hardin for third place yesterday.
