“We just seemed like we didn’t want to be here,” Campbellsville High School Lady Eagles’ head coach Richard Dooley admitted. “I guess that can happen on the third day of a tournament.”
His squad had dropped a 49-18 seventh-grade game to Lynn Camp on Saturday afternoon after falling on Friday night to Thomas Nelson.
Nena Barnett had nine points vs. Lynn Camp and 10 against Thomas Nelson. Caroline McMahan grabbed eight rebounds in the Thomas Nelson clash.
Casey County upended Frankfort 60-49 in the championship game with Russell County taking third (53-42) over Barren County and John Hardin fifth (51-23) vs. Thomas Nelson. Juniors Lakken Miller (14), Tiara Cochran (14) and Christin Terry (10) reached double digits for the tourney-champion Lady Rebels.
