Lady Eagle season ends with Adair district loss

Adair County scored a run in each of the first two innings and added two more in the third to eliminate Campbellsville’s Lady Eagles 4-1 in the 20th District Softball Tournament on Monday in Lebanon.
The Lady Eagles’ only run came in the sixth inning when Tiffany Slone was hit by a pitch with one out and scored on Destiny Wilson’s single.
Wilson finished with two hits while Jessie Cash, Brenna Wethington and Keena Angel had one safety apiece for Campbellsville.
Wilson and senior third baseman Mary Brower were named to the All-20th District Tournament team.
The Lady Indians were scheduled to play the Taylor County-Marion County winner in yesterday’s district championship game with the Fifth Region Tourney starting Monday at LaRue County.

Campbellsville finished regular-season action with a 13-1 home loss on Friday to Danville and a 4-1 setback at Lincoln County on Saturday.
Hannah Taylor had two hits vs. Danville while Tiffany Slone had two at Lincoln County.
