Taylor County never overcame a 7-0 Adair County start and dropped a 55-37 decision to the Lady Indians on Friday night in Columbia.
The Lady Cardinals (1-2) did not score until 2:30 left in the first quarter on Cayla Rucker's three-pointer and trailed by as many as 14 in the first half and trailed 26-16 at half-time.
Baskets by MeLeigha Pollock and Mercedes Cox cut the intermission deficit to 26-16.
