Taylor County's Lady Cardinals used an 8-2 run to end the first half, scored the first seven points of the second half and posted a 55-42 triumph over Campbellsville at home on Tuesday night.
The Lady Cardinals (1-1) took the lead for good on MeLeigha Pollock's three-point basket at 2:57 of the first quarter. However, the Lady Eagles stayed close and trailed only 14-12 after consecutive baskets by Destiny Wilson, Tiffany Slone and Bronte Karr.
That is, before Taylor County went on its streak and the Lady Cardinal lead grew to 18 in the fourth quarter.
