Taylor County led early on Hannah Howard’s three-pointer, but never could re-claim the lead and fell at Washington County 46-45 on Tuesday night in Springfield.
The Commanderettes scored the next nine points and never relinquished the advantage in claiming the second win in three outings vs. the Lady Cardinals.
Howard and Rachel Riggs had 12 points apiece for Taylor County while Becca Orberson and Haley Wright had nine each.
Post players Kenya Turner and Jennifer Keene had 15 and 12 points, respectively, for Washington County while Shay Yocum, the squad’s lone senior, and Riquel Logan had eight apiece.
Taylor County did claim its sixth win of the season when the Lady Cardinals bested Boyle County at home on Saturday.
Orberson (15), Riggs (14) and Howard (13) reached double figures for coach Jenny Jessie’s team while Wright totaled seven.
Taylor County (6-15) plays at LaRue County on Friday before finishing regular-season play at Nelson County on Tuesday.
