The Kentucky State Police kicked off its fourth annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive recently. Food collection sites have been established at all 16 posts throughout the state and at the agency’s headquarters in Frankfort. Taylor County’s post is Post 15 in Columbia. The campaign extends through Dec. 13 and is designed to collect non-perishable food items for needy families.
KSP spokesman Trooper Paul Blanton said the agency collected more than 100,000 pounds of food during last year’s campaign.
