Kids Outdoor Day set for June 2

-A A +A

The annual Kids Outdoor Day event will be Saturday, June 2, at Green River Lake State Park and Tim Horton's Camp Kentahten. Events are free.

Kids Outdoor Day is a day of outdoor activities with the goal of introducing children and their parents to the outdoors.

For many, this is the opportunity to catch their first fish, shoot their first bull's eye or go for their first boat ride.

The event is hosted by the Friends of Green River Lake, Tim Horton's Camp Kentahten staff and Green River Lake State Park, as well as local area volunteers.

Activities consist of archery, air rifle, boating, fishing, 22 rifle shooting, trap shooting, hay rides, swimming, canoe and pontoon boating, face painting, bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, turkey, duck and goose calling and more.

Lunch is provided for those who attend and children will receive a free T-shirt.

Events are provided free because of numerous volunteers and donations from local and national businesses event sponsors.
