Kentucky State Police statistics

During the month of November, there were 29 traffic collisions investigated by Kentucky State Police troopers working in the Post 15 area, which covers Taylor, Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell and Washington counties.

There were six fatal collisions during the month of November in the Post 15 area.

Marty Hammons, 21, of Bowling Green, was killed on Nov. 10 in Green County.

Robert G. Kimbler Jr., 56, of Columbia, was killed on Nov. 14 in Green County.

Joseph Daniel Mattingly, 60, of Loretto, was killed on Nov. 11 in Marion County.

Charles D. Kirtley, 40, of Campbellsville, was killed on Nov. 22 in Casey County.

Johnnie M. McElroy, 54, of Glasgow, was killed on Nov. 30 in Green County.

Benny H. Scott, 67, of Hardyville, was killed on Nov. 30 in Green County.

This brings the yearly fatality count to 21 compared with 34 through the same period in 2012. Statewide fatality count stands at 584 compared with 681 through the same period in 2012.

During the month of November, there were 1,066 citations written, 247 courtesy notices written, 1,412 vehicles inspected, 644 complaints answered, 64 motorists assisted, 49 criminal cases opened and 175 criminal arrests made by KSP troopers in the Post 15 area.
