Two Campbellsville men were among 11 Kentucky Baptists who recently returned from an eight-day disaster relief mission trip to the Mosquitia region of Nicaragua.
While in Nicaragua, team members helped rebuild homes devastated by Hurricane Felix, which happened on Sept. 4, 2007. The trip took place March 29-April 5 and was coordinated through the Kentucky Baptist Convention.
George Phillips and Larry Hunt, both of Campbellsville, made the trip.
According to Phillips, about 20,000 people became homeless because of Hurricane Felix.
