The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently had a contest for school-aged children to submit a name for its new 18-foot water safety display.
The display is meant to attract attention as well as make visitors to the lake think about water safety.
"Billy Floats A lot" was chosen as the winning name and was submitted by Jordan Humphress, 13, of Knifley. Humphress' entry was chosen based on how catchy it was and how his description promoted water safety.
