Hord hauls in Senior Duffers title

Ronnie Hord claimed the title of the annual Charles Stiles Memorial Senior Duffers at Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville earlier this summer.
After the first day of the tournament, John Waldrop led with a low net of 64 with Murrell Young in second place with a net 68. Harlin Gaskins was third at 70 with three others close behind with 71s.
The second day proved to be even more of a pressure-packed battle for the championship.
Hord played nearly flawless golf with a net 67 and emerged as the winner with a 138, one shot ahead of Waldrop (139) and another in front of Lowell Yankey (140).
Closest to the pin winners on the par 3s were Young, Yankey, Grant and Mike Cassell.
