A count of homeless people in Taylor County will be done Wednesday, with several agencies geared toward helping people pitching in.
According to Green River Ministries Executive Director Rosalind Strong-Porter, the annual homeless count will begin at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday and end at sunrise on Thursday.
She said the goal of the count is to determine the most accurate number of homeless people in Taylor County as possible.
The amount of homeless people in a community helps determines how much federal funding it receives.
