The American Hospital Association Certification Center recently announced that Ramona C. Hieneman has earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management. The CPHRM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the healthcare risk management profession.
Hieneman, of Campbellsville, is employed as director of corporate responsibility at Taylor Regional Hospital and has served in that role since 2008.
She graduated from Berea College in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1995.
Hieneman is a member of the Taylor County Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Kentucky Society for Healthcare Risk Managers and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Managers.
To earn the CPHRM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of professional experience and education, agree to adhere to the AHA Professional Standards of Conduct and pass the CPHRM Certification Examination.
The CPHRM examination assesses knowledge required of a competent healthcare risk manager in the areas of loss prevention/reduction, claims management, risk financing, regulatory/accreditation compliance, operations and bioethics.
The CPHRM Program supports the community of mastery of a well-defined body of professional knowledge. Additionally, certificants demonstrate their continued professional development and commitment to the profession by maintaining the certification through participation in professional development activities.
The AHA Certification Center offers certification in five healthcare disciplines.
In addition to Certified Professionals in Healthcare Risk Management, the AHA Certification Center recognizes Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professionals, Certified Healthcare Constructors, Certified Healthcare Facility Managers and Certified Materials & Resource Professionals.
