Hay fire causes minor damage

Taylor County firefighters were called to the scene of a hay fire on Monday, which caused minor damage to a barn.

According to a Taylor County Fire & Rescue news release, about 15 bales of hay caught on fire at about 8:30 p.m. at 2058 Old Greensburg Road.

The report states that the fire was contained to the hay, which was near the center portion of a barn owned by Harlon Barnett. The barn received minor damage. The cause of the fire hasn't yet been determined.

No one was injured as a result of the fire. Twenty-five personnel responded with four apparatus.
