This fall, Taylor County Schools will offer a new after-school program thanks to a state grant.
The District has received a 21st Century grant, which awards the District $150,000 a year for three years. After three years, the District can apply for a continuation grant which provides $112,500 for a fourth year and $75,000 the fifth year. After five years, the District would have to apply for another grant, according to Susan Kilby, instructional supervisor.
