When my kids are fighting, they will sometimes try to divert my attention from the real issue at hand by pointing at a sibling in an accusatory tone, "Yeah, but he broke my toy last week and then he made a face at you behind your back."

Judging from the latest television commercials, it would appear as if our gubernatorial candidates have taken a lesson from my children.
