Taylor County’s ballot for the General Election in November is now set and will be printed in a few weeks. Taylor County Clerk Mark Carney, at left, and Deputy Clerk Rhonda Taylor draw ballot positions for the local nonpartisan races. Carney and Taylor drew a number and then a candidate’s name to make a double blind drawing. All of the state’s clerk’s offices drew their ballot positions Tuesday afternoon. In partisan races, the Republican candidate will appear on the ballot first, according to Carney, because former presidential candidate John McCain carried Kentucky’s overall votes in the last General Election presidential race.
