Nick Fudge's only field goal in the game came just before the final buzzer and propelled Adair County past Campbellsville 54-53 on Tuesday night in Paul J. Coop Gymnasium.

The Eagles led 42-30 with three minutes left in the third quarter but hit only one of their next seven free throws and were 3-11 for the game.

Morehead State signee Darren Ballou led Adair County (5-0) with 25 points while Kyle Sandusky added 10.

Bryton Taylor paced CHS with 21 points while Thomas Downs and Matthew Davis had 10 apiece.

The Eagles (1-3) play Louisville Waggener in the T.J. Samson Community Hospital Holiday Classic at Glasgow on Saturday.

Campbellsville's Eagles picked up their first win of the season with a 65-55 triumph over Trimble County in the Derby City Classic at Christian Academy on Saturday afternoon.

Bryton Taylor (18) and Thomas Downs (11) scored in double figures while Jordan Percell and Chris "Pee Wee" Smith had seven each.
