Fourth of July photo contest entries sought

-A A +A

Campbellsville's Fourth of July celebration will once again feature an amateur photo contest sponsored by Orthodyne Physical Therapy.

Organizers encourage amateur and professional photographers who wish to participate to pick up their cameras now and start taking photos.

This year's contest will offer several categories, including Taylor County faces; children of Taylor County; Taylor County hands at play, work, rest, etc.; Taylor County barns, sheds, agricultural buildings; scenic Taylor County; miscellaneous and a professional/semi-professional category. The latter category is for anyone who has been paid, in any form, for their photography work.

Photos must be submitted as unframed 5x7s and the fee to enter is $5 per photo. The back of the photo must include the name and telephone number of the entrant and a category name. There is no limit to how many photos a person can enter.

Entry deadline is Tuesday, July 1, at 5 p.m.

Each submitted photograph, in its entirety, must be the single work of original material taken by the contest entrant. By entering the contest, entrants acknowledge that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by them.

The photograph must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content. Photographs deemed inappropriate will be disqualified. Decisions of the sponsor and judges are final.

Contact Orthodyne at (270) 789-6629 for a list of rules and more information.

Photos can be submitted to Orthodyne Physical Therapy Rehabilitation and More, 190 W. First. St., Campbellsville, Ky., 42718.
