LEX 18 recently announced that it has received 10 Regional Emmy nominations from the Ohio Valley chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In all, 14 people, including a Campbellsville native, were honored with nominations in ten categories.

Three people on LEX18's staff received multiple nominations.

Nancy Cox, formerly of Campbellsville, received four nominations for her work as an anchor and reporter.

Cox and Brian Gilbert were nominated in the feature news report series category for "Miss KY 1967 Pictures."

The two were also nominated in the human-interest news category for "In the Eye of the Beholder."

Cox was also nominated in the news anchor and features/human-interest reporter categories.

"We have a very talented group of people that are truly committed to quality journalism," said LEX18's News Director Bruce Carter. "We are very honored to have ten nominations."

The 10 nominations are the most the station has ever received in a single year, and the most of any Lexington TV station this year.

Winners will be announced at the 50th Ohio Valley Emmys Gala in Columbus, Ohio on Aug. 2.
