Fire destroys home Friday

Taylor County firefighters responded to a house fire at 238 Reflection Way just after 8:30 on Friday morning.

According to Taylor County Volunteer Fire Chief George Wilson, the fire seems to have started in the kitchen area.

Homeowner Roscoe Berry and his family were not at home when the fire started.

Ten firefighters were on the scene with three engines for about three hours. Wilson said the home is a total loss.
