FFA wins at Lake Cumberland Regional competition

Taylor County High School's Future Farmers of America Chapter competed at the Lake Cumberland Regional competition at Lindsey Wilson College on March 13.

First place winners were Mason Arnold, crop; Hannah Hall, fruit and vegetable; Weston Sullivan, beef; Rebekah Cowherd, FFA quiz; Jodie Phillips, small animal; Kody Phillips, ag mechanics; Alex Zimmerman, poultry; and Ty Corbin, turf and lawn.

Second place winners were Cody Bowling, extemporaneous public speaking; Katelyn Carter, horse; Allison Brockman, goats; Megan Graham, swine; Korri Briggs, dairy; and Daniel Lawson, nursery and landscape.

Third place winners were Rachel Hinton, prepared public speaking; and Lexie Sprowles, greenhouse.

The parliamentary procedure team placed superior overall. Members were Mason Arnold, Michala Caulk, Allison Brockman, Megan Graham, Alex Zimmerman, Korri Briggs, Cooper Wise and Kyle Dockery.

Zach Richardson placed superior for sheep and Callie Parrot placed excellent in floral. Rebekah Cowherd and Brenton Benningfield competed in record keeping, Rebekah Ellis competed in talent and Jordan Pratt competed in FFA creed.
