FFA hosts tractor pull

More than 1,200 people attended Taylor County Future Farmers of America's annual truck and tractor pull at the Taylor County Fairgrounds on Oct. 5.

The nine-class event drew participants from all across Kentucky as well as Tennessee, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Money raised from the event will be used for FFA activities.

Alex Cox of Mannsville, driving a 560 Farmall, won the 5500 antique class with a distance of 304.6 feet.

Charles Tucker of Campbellsville, driving a Super M, won the 6500 antique class with a distance of 294.17 feet.

Roy Ross of Willisburg, driving Time and Money, won the 5500 open antique class with a distance of 251.18 feet.

Butch Votow of Raywick, driving a 460 International, won the 6500 open antique class with a distance of 284.67 feet.

Stacie Bennett of Columbia, driving Trailer Trash, won the super-modified four-wheel drive class with a distance of 303.51 feet.

Mitchell Coomer of Columbia, driving Old Yeller, won the 6000 LLS class with a distance of 317.36 feet.

Jason Coomer of Columbia, driving Top Gun, won the Pro-Stock four-wheel drive class with a distance of 330.24 feet.

Nick Burger of Clay City, Ind., driving Redlined, won the pro-stock two-wheel drive class with a distance of 303.65 feet.

Jeff Risk of Frankfort, driving Chain Reaction, won the 4300 light pro-stock class with a distance of 346.22 feet.
