Entering the game Saturday, everyone knew a losing streak was going to come to an end at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl. However, it was Faulkner University that came out on top in a barn burner victory over Campbellsville University, 59-49.
Campbellsville pulled ahead by 11 points to go into halftime leading, 28-17, after scoring 14 unanswered points in the second quarter. The Eagles’ quarterback Josh Hollingsworth and his offense could not be stopped in the second half though, as the sophomore threw for a school record 564 yards and six touchdowns.
