EMS, city sued after ambulance passenger's death

A Campbellsville man has filed suit against the EMS service and city, alleging they are responsible for his wife’s death.

Lebanon attorney James Avritt Jr. filed a complaint on Thomas Ray Shirrell’s behalf in Taylor Circuit Court on Dec. 29.

Campbellsville/Taylor County Rescue and the city of Campbellsville are listed as defendants.

Shirrell is the administrator of his wife Lillie Mae Shirrell’s estate. According to the complaint, Shirrell died on Jan. 10, 2011.
