Sarah McCreary, daughter of Paul and Tresea Phillips of Elk Horn and daughter-in-law of Chester and Rachel McCreary of Hulen, was awarded a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy at the university-wide commencement on May 4.

McCreary was also honored at a special recognition ceremony on May 2 at the UK Singletary Center for the Arts.

"For more than a century, the UK College of Pharmacy has graduated some of the best and brightest students from the commonwealth, the United States and the world," said Dean Kenneth B. Roberts. "The Class of 2008 continues this tradition with a group of exemplary men and women who are on their way to becoming successful pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and leaders in academia, health care, and industry."
