Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barnett celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary recently at their home.

Marine Sgt. Steven C. Peterson was promoted to his present rank while serving with Weapons Training Battalion, Edson Range Area, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Sarah Raikes, family and consumer sciences teacher at Campbellsville High, has been chosen as the 1998-1999 Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year.

Doris Kearney Gray, 59, of Buckner Street, Campbellsville, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, in Greensburg after an illness.
