Jennifer Warren and Megan Cary were crowned Miss Independence and Miss Taylor County Fair, respectively, Saturday night at Hamilton Auditorium.

John David Inman of Campbellsville is among 447 students at Eastern Kentucky University named to the president's list for spring semester study.

Samantha Floyd, 3, won first place in the Crusade for Children baby contest at Kroger, East Broadway. She is the daughter of Doug and Sharon Floyd of Campbellsville.

Dr. James Watkins was recently certified by the American Board of Surgery.
